This briefing will bring together policy experts and Yemeni human rights advocates to explore U.S. involvement in the Saudi-UAE-led war in Yemen. The panel will discuss Congress's historic opportunity to build on past efforts to reassert its authority to declare war, as well as what the new Biden Administration could mean for peace in Yemen.
These experts will discuss and answer questions relating to: U.S. involvement in the Saudi-UAE-led war and how this conflict created the world's worst humanitarian crisis; the effects of designating the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization; recent and proposed arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE; the Biden administration's options for approaching the conflict; and opportunities for the 117th Congress.
